Frequently asked questions
Straight answers, including the ones that might tell you Bidsight is not for you.
What does Bidsight cover?
Two sources. e-Procurement, Belgium’s national bulletin, where every Belgian public buyer, from the federal state down to communes, provinces, hospitals and police zones, must publish from the national threshold up. And TED, the EU procurement journal, with contracts above the EU thresholds from public buyers, utilities and public undertakings in 29 countries. Searches read the calls for competition in both. Not covered: Belgian contracts that are not published, such as those below the national threshold that go by invitation, and contracts in other countries that are not published on TED.
Who is Bidsight not for?
If your work is mostly Belgian contracts too small to be published at all, or small local contracts outside Belgium, Bidsight will not find them, and we would rather tell you now than after a trial. Write to us with what you bid on and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth your time.
How does the screening work, and can it be wrong?
Each new call for competition in the trades and countries your search covers is checked automatically against the profile you wrote, and you see only the ones judged a realistic fit, with the reason. Because the judgement is automated, it can miss a relevant notice or show one that is not a fit. Always confirm the details in the official notice before you bid.
Is Bidsight an AI tool? What does the AI actually do?
Yes. A language model reads the new calls for competition on TED and on e-Procurement that match the trades and countries of your search, compares each with the profile you wrote, keeps the ones that are a realistic fit and writes, in your language, why it fits and, where the notice states it, what you must submit or prove. It reads; it does not decide for you and it does not write your bid. Like any automated judgement it can be wrong, so the official notice is always one click away.
Does Bidsight run in the cloud?
No. The site and the model that reads the notices run on our own hardware in Belgium, not on a cloud AI service. Your profile is never sent to an outside AI service, and what the model writes leaves those machines only in the results we send you and in our encrypted backup. Bidsight talks to the outside only where it must: TED and e-Procurement for the notices, the EU VAT register to check your number, Stripe for payment, the mail server that delivers your results and notifications, Slack or Teams if you connect them, your website if you ask us to draft your profile from it, and Google Drive for a backup encrypted with a key Google never gets.
Are the Radar renewal dates certain?
No. Radar estimates when an existing contract may come up for renewal, using the dates and durations published in the award notice. These are predictions, not commitments by any buyer. Treat them as a head start rather than a calendar.
How do the trial and billing work?
One free week per company, identified by VAT number, with no card needed. Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew until you cancel. Prices exclude VAT, which is added on the invoice where it applies. You can cancel your plan at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Where is my data, and can I delete it?
On our own hardware in Belgium, where the screening runs too; an encrypted backup is kept off-site, and payments are handled by Stripe. Your profile is not sent to a third-party AI service. You can export everything or delete your account yourself, at any time, from the privacy centre. The privacy notice lists what we hold and why.
